3rd Annual Taste of Greenmarket 2010- NYC

The 3rd Annual Taste of the Greenmarket is coming up (October 6, 2010) and it looks pretty awesome (albeit meat heavy). Tickets are not "cheap", but there is plenty of time to save up. Make sure you check out the video- how cool is it New York can have big events like this supporting local farmers + local food? :) I love it!

Join us for an extraordinary evening as 25 of New York's most renowned chefs & mixologists present tastings of Greenmarket-inspired signature dishes and cocktails.

All proceeds benefit Greenmarket's Youth Education Project, which enables 5,000 New York's children each year to experience first-hand the value of regional farming and eating fresh, local, seasonal foods. Enjoy Greenmarket-inspired fare and cocktails presented by NYC's finest chefs; celebrate harvest season with farmers, chefs, and the locavore community, and bid on fabulous silent auction prizes.
