A Transition Network's aim is to inspire, encourage, connect, support and train communities as they self-organize around the transition model, creating initiatives that rebuild in response to the challenges of peak oil, climate change and the economic crisis.
I've come across two, though I am sure there are others out there. One is Transition United States and the other is Transition Network from the UK.
Somewhat similar is a Landshare. The goal is to make land more productive and fresh local produce more accessible to all.
Use Landshare to:
- Find land where you can grow your own
- Offer land in return for produce
- Identify land suitable for planting
- Build a growing community
For more information please visit these sites. I am sure they have link ups for local resources and can share with you how to start your own. Cheers!
