I have not tried this out just yet... but definitely think it looks interesting. I would think getting a massage while in the salt room would be more enticing, but perhaps that would be too messy.
Details: Relax in a pristine atmosphere, visitors seek wellness by being exposed to and breathing the dry salt aerosol. It has been researched that the effect of salt particles is a profound cleansing of bacteria and pollution. Known in Europe as Halotherapy, continuous sessions in a natural salt cave have shown to be beneficial with numerous respiratory and skin discomforts.
For those in NYC, there is Halo Air:
133 W. 22nd St., b/t Sixth & Seventh Ave.
646.666.0554
Mon-Fri 9am- 10pm, Sat+Sun 9am-8pm.
I am sure there will be others popping up. If you've tried this and it worked for you let us know. Video below is not related to Halo Air, but thought it gave a nice explanation of the treatment.
