Love Me Did: A History of Courtship

This podcast, Love Me Did: A History of Courtship, from "BackStory with the American History Guys, reminded a very good friend of mine to share it with me while discussing, Committed by Elizabeth Gilbert. Btw... I finished it a few (?) weeks ago and quite enjoyed it. I found it's (marriage/commitment) history quite interesting.

If some of the following might intrigue you, you might want to check this out. Obviously the book is more involved, but thought I'd share.
  • There was classified dating back in the 18th century.
  • Date- came from prostitution.
  • Find out what "bundling" is.
  • Most marriages were born from a pregnancy.
  • Back in the day Christianity looked down upon marriage.
  • How going steady happened.
