Encounters at the End of the World

"Through our eyes, the universe is perceiving itself. Through our ears, the universe is listening to its harmonies. We are the witnesses through which the universe becomes conscious of its glory, of its magnificence." - Alan Watts

I have a friend who is at McMurdo, and coincidentally we had "Encounters at the End of the World", a documentary by Werner Herzog in our queue. It is a slow, but thoughtful and some of the imagery is breathtaking. It's quite incredible that only a handful of people will ever get to experience this part of the earth. I particularly loved the quotes that were shared from the philosopher, Alan Watts. Spot on.
