Toms Shoes made from Hemp & Recycled Plastic Bottles

Most of you probably know, or already own a pair or two of TOMS shoes. For those just tuning in- TOMS shoes was founded on the simple idea of "one for one"... for every pair you purchase, TOMS gives a pair of shoes to a child in need... "Using the purchasing power of individuals to benefit the greater good is what we're all about".

I just purchased a pair of the "Classic Recycled" style, as pictured above from Whole Foods. It was a spur of the moment purchase- though I have been looking at them for sometime now. I liked that they were made out of "textured twill"- composed of 77% Hemp and 23% Recycled Plastic Bottles. Yah!

Aside from helping a child in need- they are not only comfy- I think they make a really nice statement.
